10 Nigerian Athletes Disqualified From Tokyo Olympics. – Rave TV
Ten Nigerian athletes have been disqualified from participating in the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics by the Athletics Integrity Unit; an independent body created by World Athletics; for failure to meet anti-doping rules.
This statement showed a total of twenty athletes were ineligible, with Nigeria being the most affected. Other countries affected are; Belarus, Kenya, Morocco, Ethiopia and Ukraine; all which fall under countries with a high doping risk.
Nigerian officials are yet to take responsibility, placing the blame on the athletes. Could all this have been avoided?
